Where to buy a jon boat
I saved up some money to buy a jon boat, but don't know where to buy one. Dicks sporting goods only has kayaks and canoes, I don't know how far away the bass pro shop is either. If anyone knows where to buy a jon boat new or used it would be greatly appreciated. I have also played around with the idea of putting a minn Kota 36lb thrust electric trolling motor on my kayak, not sure if it will work, or weigh down my kayak to much.

check craigslist. You can usually find some good deals on jon boats there.

I agree with Dan. Buying a new jonboat isnt worth it. Buy used, save money and get a depth finder or a nice used motor.
