update # 2

got a decent bass on J&P after dark in chantilly.
seems like the J&P is just too big right now. they either eat it or wont touch it, depending on the day.
burns precious daylight finding out

best bait for me has been a minus 1. caught bass today in lovettsville on that. caught a few friday in cedar on same, until the rain ran me off.

I got bites on it in ashburn also.

would like to get the Jon on ashburn but too lazy to empty truck and drag it over there.

I throw the minus 1 on 6 # mono, on the 9' ultra light. looong casts over clear water have been paying dividends, but work is necessary. i can show the bait to a lot of customers that way

ashburn still has a good stain on it. when the wind pounds the rip rap, a rattletrap might get a hog.
my shoulder is so shot i wont throw them anymore

i got a decent fish in cedar on an orange dt-6, over the rock pile. I launch it all the way to the fountain, ala andy, on the 6# 9' outfit. Bump it over the rocks all the way back. seems to get down enough to touch them, but doesnt dig so hard that it hangs.
