Goose Creek, first week of November

I fished the creek for the first time on Monday.  Put my kayak in at Kephart's then paddled like mad to get down to the river since I had one less hour to fish before dark because of the time change.  I was using a beetle spin at the mouth of the creek and it wasn't long before I caught my first ever smallmouth, about 12".  I tried some spots with downed trees on the way back but got nothing.

On Wednesday I went upstream from Rt7.  About halfway between the highway and the old dam I caught three decent size sunfish in about 15 minutes using the same beetle spin.   I tried that whole stretch again Sunday morning with no luck.

I'm planning to go to Beaverdam Res. this weekend since I got my fishfinder this week.  I got the Eagle Cude 350 S/Map.
