9-15-09 Weems Creek
Yesterday, my neighbor Benton and I fished Weems Creek for white perch. My list of requests for perch keeps growing. The weather was perfect. The fish were cooperative. The final count was eighty-three perch and two rockfish. The rockfish were too small.

There were large ones everywhere; but now it seems like there are also quite a few medium size fish. There were some huge schools of bait fish. We caught a couple of small rockfish and one small bluefish. I did temporarily hook something that quickly stripped line before it came off. Afterwards I examined my hook.... Is a hook suppose to be curved?
