Looks like a cold front moving thru on Thursday....I may bring the heavy gear and fish deep water....who knows what may be lurking down there.

I am still a go. What time shall we meet? Where do we want to park? There is somewhat limited parking from the Church access road.

Dominion Dan - If you don't mind, I will take you up on the lifevest offer. Once we have the details on who is meeting and where, we can finalize. Thanks for the offer.

I can meet any time after 1 PM at any place. If you want to start from my house, I am good. Also, we don't need to go that early either.
Offline
starting at your house is fine with me not shure where to go on bdc. we can follow you there.

OK by me.....if I get some time, I may stop by Dick's to pick one up but I don't know if they carry kayak vests.

I figure I might come over on Thursday morning to fish a little at Cedar. I'll drop two of the orange cheapies off for whoever. I will write my initials (DAS) on them. Ernie, is it alright if I just put them under the deck?

Some facts:
1. Sunset is at 7:46 PM so we need to be off the water by then. The ruels state dusk to dawn.
2. I talked to John Odgenkirk last night. He is the state biologist. He is confident that BDR is full of big bass to include smallies
3. We may get wet.....Danny (the storm off shore) may cause some rain. We can play that by ear
Question:
What is the best time for everyone to go?

but furthermore, its the law to have a lifejacket for each person in a boat
Virginia's life jacket laws require that there must be one wearable (Type I, II, III, or V) USCG approved life jacket of the appropriate size for each person on the boat. As well, all boats, except for personal watercraft, canoes, kayaks, and inflatable rafts, must carry one USCG approved Type IV throwable ring or seat cushion.

I think we should plan on launching around 2pm. 1pm may be tight with work for some. We can meet down at the launch via the church access road.
Ernie, do you need my help with anything?
Thanks to all for providing extra life jackets. They don't have to be sexy, they just have to float!
Also, from 1990, which is probably when Buckshot was born, Georgia has won a whopping 3 times against Florida. That means a record of 15-3 for the mighty Gators. Although, I did get my MBA from UGA...worry you not, I am a Gator through and through. There is no trumping the undergrad experience!

I think buckshot is a 94 or 95 class fisherman....I am sure he has not seen many UG victories over UF.
Anyway, 2 PM is fine. I can always use help loading the 3 boats on to the truck but I have done it many a time by myself.

i think we will pick joe up and then head to your house. im sure we will have to follow you considering we are not to familiar with bdc. what time do we need to be at your house by? and we can show up early if we need to help in any way.

i hope, never really caught that good of a fish. biggest being around 4 pounds. im hoping that the deep crankbait will have good results.

Don't beat yourself up. A 4lb bass is a good fish, a real good fish. In my opinion, anything over 3lbs is a really good fish. Anything over 5lbs around here is fantastic. Anything better than 8lbs or 22inches is a citation. The more likely scenario around here is 22inches.
