Hot weather fishing

I got this from another forum....worth reading and thinking about!

"The 'experts' say that taking a Striper out of the water and into 90-plus degree air is a pretty sure way to kill them. I had always thought that water, not air, temp is what matters most, but I'm not going to argue with the professionals. So, when C&Ring, it's probably a good idea NOT to remove the Striper from the water during this heat wave unless you're fishing early in the morning. I do not know whether this applies to other fish, but I assume that it probably does."

Time to go fishin' again!

Re: Hot weather fishing

This holds true for a lot of other species of fish as well! When handling fish, less is always more.
