Cedar 8/1/09

Woke up super early on Saturday and cruised out to Ashburn for some AM pond hopping. Started off at dawn at a couple local ponds and finished up the morning on Cedar. Caught some good fish early on a horny toad and switched over to a t-rigged senko as the sun got high. They seemed to like it twitched fast with intermittent pauses, kind of like you'd work a soft jerkbait. Got into a few nice ones in front of Ernie's house, one spit up a black and orange crayfish. About half the fish I caught on Cedar had been hooked before, but almost all were healthy and of better size than I've caught here in years past. Finished up around 11 and saw Ernie and Bigjeffie on my way out. Jeff looked like he was catchin some little ones on a big ultra-light. Nice to get back to Cedar and wet the lines, glad to see that it's still in great shape. Props to all you guys out there who work hard to keep those lakes nice, job well done.
