cedar fri

i was chock full of anticipation as I rolled into position this afternoon

the rain was coming down good

i looked down the hill at beach and the storm outlet was blasting like a firehose

i fished it and didnt get bit

i walked up to the rock pile, lobbed a 1/4 purple and blue J&P, and got wacked so fast it suprised me.

i set the hook and the line popped- as i reeled up the flacid remnants, a good fish broke the surface and spat out the unteathered jig.

......some kids where whooping it up in the cove, swatting scores of jr league contenders.

i ambled down and went to work in the storm outflow, amidst the flotsam of garbage.

i only hit some midgets

anyway , I caught a 4+ swimming the same J&P over the flats outside the cove, which was cool on  light tackle.

i switched over to a 3/16 bitsy black/blue super chunk combo, and was able to get some more decent ones, and midgets too.

i have been catching fish with my 9' rod, with short pitches into cover, or even just lowering along the bank.
