Mo and I launched at 5:30 am and turned left to throw a few casts for stripers at a spot where Ernie recently caught a striper. We only stayed a few minutes but did nothing. The water was smooth with no minnow activity. Our next stop, at the military marina entrance, also produced nothing. We had a ditto response at Bomb Beach. Since we were fishing a full moon I was getting discouraged.
Mo was emphatic that things would improve at Mo's Cove. Well, in his defense, it did. Mo caught several juvenile stripers. One of the stripers was almost seventeen inches. As the tide continued to fall we expanded our range to include an area near some locust trees. We seem to do a little better here but a steady breeze kept us from fishing the shoreline the way we wanted. We had a time constraint so we did the quick "hit and miss" at a few more locations on the way back to the ramp. Action was just fast enough to keep things interesting. Aside from the white perch, we caught a flounder, a few croakers and a small spot. The final perch count was thirty-five.

My thinking is that the full moon always gets you unles you are fishing it in the evening. But I would rather be fishing than in meetings so I am glad you guys got out.
Now it's time to explore new areas. I am willing to bet that there are some perchy areas that you haven't found yet! I know of one....the Tread Avon!!
