4-22-07, Cedar Lake
Went out for a bit this afternoon with Curly to try to get some crappie. I was using a fly rod and Curly had a jig under a bobber.
Lots of fish in the shallows but very finicky.
Curly caught 3 nice crappie and I caught 3-4 blue gills, 1 crappie and about 10 small bass. We saw some big bass laying around but they would not touch what I was offering. As a matter of fact, the crappie I caught just happened to open his mouth when the fly went by and I hooked him. They did not seem to be interested in eating.

Caught a few more crappie tonight on the Christmas tree we sunk behind my neighbor's house. Also was able to catch a few small bass.
