4th of July Float

This one is easy!

Get to Algonkian as early as you want and start your paddle/peddle up river (or go downriver if you want).

Sunrise is at 5:48 AM and the moon sets at 3:11 AM.

We will fish the area until about 11 AM....that when Algonkian turns in to a zoo!

So far, my canoe is reserved for Patrick but I do have an extra kayak if someone needs a boat.

Re: 4th of July Float

I am in but not sure what boat I will use...it all depends on the river depth.

Anyone else?

The plan is the same as last year. the put in and take out is the same....Algonkian. Paddle/peddle wherever you want to go....most head upstream. Quit when you want. The crazies will be there by 10:30 or so.

Re: 4th of July Float

Does a scanoe w/ trolling motor count for a "float"?  I'm planning on coming w/ our two sons (5 and 7 y.o.), hopefully we'll be there by 6 AM.

If it floats...it's a float!

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Re: 4th of July Float

Yeah, I think Andrew and I are actually planning on getting there early enough to be on the water by 5:30am.

Now I have to decide what topwaters I want to bring for the early morning action....choices, choices...

Re: 4th of July Float

Don't bring too much gear.....force yourself to win on what you have...it makes a difference. It makes you fish baits in ways that you never thought of.
