Well.......it's been a tough 2 days for the fishing but I have thoroughly enjoyed my new fishing machine. Today, Curly and I went down below the WW Bridge to look for some big blue cats as well as stripers.



We marked a ton of fish (we did so all day) but they were just shad. We got to fish along side a couple of good friends, Ron Horton and Keech Edelin who were on Keech's boat which used to be Ron's boat. After thinking about it, I'm not sure if they are even friends. Curly and I were fishing hard and we heard a pop in the water. It wasn't a fish jumping and no one was throwing rocks at us. What could it be? We looked over at Keech's boat and there were the culprits. Keech and Ron were loading up small water balloons and heaving them towards us with a giant sling shot. They managed to land one about 2 feet from the boat. It was time to high tail it out of there. I sure do hope those boys caught some fish and got their minds on fishing instead of slinging!

By the way, I took the skunk off the boat with a beautiful 3.5” white perch!!



After a trip back up to Fletcher's....



.....it was time to call it a day. Our catch for the day was 8 white perch with the biggest topping out at 10"...Curly caught that one.

It was a spectacular day on the water and it was great to be out.

Next week will have all the species in full run!
