Cedar 5/2

Did the perimeter walk around Cedar Saturday evening . . . overcast and very smooth water.  The bite was hit or miss.  Using watermelon Dead Ringer.  Two dinks right off fountain motor, then a long drought, then a few by the upper cove . . . not consistent but landed seven (one 2+), plus lost a good one when it spit the line on the second jump.  A few caught by trolling along the shoreline, and a couple caught in deep water.  The algae is still there but not terrible yet.  Didn't see any signs of spawning nests.  Also had a giant bullfrog take a bite at my lure - now I'm not sure what I'd have done if I hooked it!  Several people out fishing, including a couple of fathers with kids, which is always great to see.

Re: Cedar 5/2

I had one of those giant frogs hit my wacky worm when it hit the shore a couple of days ago....he gave me a nasty look!

Time to go fishin' again!

Re: Cedar 5/2

If you hook a frog, throw him back out in the water for a monster bass!

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!
