got a 3- 14, a 2-14, and 7 keepers.
the 3 came early on a zara spook.
then i met mr lemmert the game warden.
i hiked all the way around to a windblown point, then got a keeper and the 4 on a chartruese spinnerbait.
then i lost the spinner.
tied on a black/red brush hog and pick up another keeper.
hiked/ waded way up the windblown side of the point.
tried to "i dream of jeanie" a rattle trap (didnt have one , perfect situation) but failed and keppt on tossing the brush hog. no dice.
then the front shows up, wind shifts, thunder claps and i start getting cold.
i stand waist deep on the point and heave the brush hog at the wind.
two guys across the way look quizzicallly in my direction.
have no idea why.
i start working back around.
i pitch the brush hog at a beaver lodge and score a keeper.
it is raining and blowing.
wet already, i snag the brush hog and break it off.
on goes a 1/2 black blue pig n jig.
i start pitching in the rain. score a young but nice female about to bust w/ eggs.
either that or she spent the morining at an all- u- can eat brunch.
then i think i got another. cant tell through the gale
pitch my way back to some blowdowns.
see fish breaking at a feeder creek.
relocate.
throw right into the mouth and a fat keeper hits immediately.
i land it quietly not wanting to spook the hole.
next cast another keeper.
fish still breaking. 20 more cast s w/ jig no takers.
still breaking here & there.
on goes a rage toad.
20 casts no takers, no more breakers.
on to the next creek.
20 casts w/ toad, no hits.
on 2 piggy.
hit keeper quickly at creek mouth.
now eight hours into trip, sun dropping, wind howling, pitch all the way back to starting point w/o a hit
