Beech 2-27
Matt, Dustin and I fished Beech for a hour during release and did not catch anything. I really need to get better at this winter fishing thing!

It is tough, don't beat yourself up over it. We are inherently at a disadvantage because we are fishing from the shore. Considering the lack of significant structure or topography near the shore, it is tough to locate the fish from there. Focus more on your retrieves and how you are fishing. Try different retrieval speeds or lures that you are unfamiliar with...but that are relevant to cold water fishing.
BTW - I went out today for a bit earlier and caught nothing but a stiff breeze.
If it were easy, they'd call it catching!
