Trout fishing Locust Shade

I went to locust shade pond for some urban trout fishing on Wed afternoon since VDGIF stocked it on the 20th (Tue).  I learned my lesson several years ago to not go on stocking day because it gets crowded and is always a disappointment.  Well, the trend continued with a sad outing.  I was the only one along with another fisherman on the other side of the small lake to catch a trout.  Others I talked too had been there since 8 am and had only gotten a nibble.  So, I packed up and went over to quantico to do a little scouting of their trout waters.  No luck there either, but the scenery was much better.  Here are a few pics with no fish pics! haha

And then I saw this little fella swimming around.....only about 15-17 inches long total with tail...on the small side and very active.

Cool place! Nothing like being out in that environment!

Stocked trout like Joe's Flies Super Strikers!

not really sure....was going to ask if anyone knew....the tail sticking high out of the water would normally help me identify it, but I couldn't tell what it was at that point.  It was fairly small in size though and swam like an otter.
