sHORE 9/20/23

Got out from about 6:30am to 8:30am. Cool start and dead calm.  Water was low and clear.  Tried the little popper, buzzbait, TRD and craw.  Nice morning, but slow start.

I got my first bite on the popper in a deeper, calm spot.  Love to see this.

After that, I waded out a little further.  I tried casting the popper as far as I could and letting it float further downstream.  Gave it a couple pops and twitches and there seemed to be a few fish looking to eat.  I got about 10 swipes, blow ups etc.  Landed 4 between 9-11 inches.  Hooked one more on the TRD, doing the same, but I got a call I had to take and just let the fish get off.

Fun morning once they got going.

Looking nice out there. You got some nice action.

I drove down to the ramp yesterday and the water is way back. I hope this weekend's rains push the water up a bit. Other wise, I may need a push pole to get around the grass.

Re: sHORE 9/20/23

I was thinking a push pole might be a good idea for my boat to get it away from the ramp before starting it.  With the TM on the front and prop in the back, it is not easy in lower flows.  Or Algonkian in general.  If it does not sell soon, I may go that route.  I have seen reviews of guys who love them for that purpose.
