Poachers stopped in their track!

I saw  a couple of fellas hand lining fish across the pond. Not wanting to confront them (still remember Curly's MS 13 encounter), I sent in the "Kudos and Concern" form (with picture) to the AV HOA.

Well, a big KUDOS to the Assistant Manager at AV who came right over and told the fells that these are C & R lakes. He made them put all the fish back in the water. Unfortunately, most of the fish were dead (turtles have to eat too) but maybe this will keep these poachers from coming back.

Time to go fishin' again!

Re: Poachers stopped in their track!

Good job

If the poachers know there's a free meal they'll be back

I use to do the same thing at private ponds in CA.  But we'd go in with the cover of darkness and skin dive for our meals.  We'd take a dive bag for the craw fish and a Hawaiian sling for fish.  The whole bottom of the lake was carpeted with big crawfish.  Big bass DO NOT like being speared.  We were poor so any free meal was appreciated.
