13 Boaters Rescued

Crazy how people do not check or heed weather warnings.  Lucky ones.

Re: 13 Boaters Rescued

Do we know if it was 13 people in one boat or were there multiple boats?

Re: 13 Boaters Rescued

had to be multiple rafts since they "held the boats over their heads."  It still boggles me why people go out in the water with potential bad weather.  I understand weather people get it wrong a lot, but all it takes is being caught out one time to never return.  Simple, don't risk it!

Re: 13 Boaters Rescued

I've gotten stuck in some doozies of storms while kayaking on the river.  Weathermen are= wrong often.

When you're doing a long float, storms sometimes creep up on you.  Best thing to do is what they did.  Pull off the water, flip the boat and wait until it's done.
