7-22-23 Report

It was a beautiful evening on the creek. Bright and sunny with a good moving tide. Fly guys worked the sub surface and caught a crappie and white perch. A few small LGMouth also. The topwater bite never materialized till just before dark. Caught a small but chunky LGMouth on pop r   and then a few more. But the major bite just turned off 20 minutes after it started. Missed several snakehead bites also. All in all 20 minutes of good bites and hits just fizzled out. If only we had the cloud cover the weatherman promised.
