Early Morning 7/3/23

Got up to drop my daughter off for her last day at Lowe's.  Fished from shore from 5:15am to 7:00am.  Water was nice, but topwater bite was not happening on tiny buzzbait or popper.  Went to the big TRD Emerson was using on Friday.  Started getting bites after a couple minutes.  Cast out and let it bounce/drift over the rocks.  Got a couple between 12 and 14 inches then one maybe 15 inches.  Bite slowed, then I got a bite and it was a bigger fish.  Put up a great fight and it was a hefty smallie about 18.5" based on my rod measurement.

Did not get the rain/storm forecasted, but got this:

I caught a couple more fish with two being about this size.

Bite really slowed about 6:30am, but I caught 1 more before 7:00am.  Ended up with 7 fish, which is more than I caught all day on Friday.

You might as well catch a few fish if ya got to get up that early! Nice!

And according to the Solunar calendar, today is a GREAT day to fish. "Seasons Best" they called it. Four stars!

Time to go fishin' again!
